Welcome to the website of the National Association of Massage and Manipulative Therapists. This website is for the practitioner and public alike. Whether you are a qualified practitioner, student or just someone who is interested in the Massage and Manipulative profession.
The National Association of Massage and Manipulative Therapy (NAMMT) was founded in 2005 as a voluntary run Professional Association specifically for Massage and Manipulative Therapists.
It is an elite Professional Association only open to practitioners who are qualified in massage to ITEC level 4 + or equal in their respective country, as membership is open world wide.
NAMMT prides itself on being run by professionals in the Massage and Manipulative field therefore we understand the problems that practitioners may face.
NAMMT requires members to be fully qualified in their chosen modalities that they practice. Anything other than Massage and Manipulative Therapy are outside the remit of NAMMT. Members who practice other modalities must prove to hold Professional Malpractice Insurance for the chosen modalities practiced.
If you are a new therapist applying to us for membership, your application should include, a copy of your training certificates, a completed membership form, payment and copy of your liability insurance. If the correct paperwork is not received, it will slow down the process of your application.
All members are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to include 12 hours formal and 8 hours private.
To all potential members who wish to register and to all existing members who have not yet renewed their membership, you can joint NAMMT for £45 per annum and membership is free to students. Probably the cheapest Professional Association in the country. We run the Association for the members, not to charge excessive fees.
We are professional practitioners who run the Association voluntarily.
