Membership

Student Membership

Student Membership is free upon enrolment on the Northern Institute's Remedial  Massage course whether at the Institute in Bury, the Tuition Centres in Londonderry and Cork in Ireland, and students registered for the Therapeutic Massage module as part of the BSc (Hons) in the Complementary Medicine Degree at the University of Central Lancashire.

Student Membership ceases automatically upon graduation from a course as a qualified therapist, or withdrawal from the course for whatever reason.

Professional Membership

Membership is open to all holders of the Northern Institute's Diploma in Remedial Massage (or equivalent qualification). professional membership is divided into two sections, mainly for the guidance of the public.

Full Member

Post- nominal/designatory letters:    NAMMT (RM) or NAMMT(MassTh)
Annual Fee:                                     £40

Advanced Member

Qualification:           Diploma in Advanced Remedial Massage
                                  Diploma in Manipulative Therapy
                                  Diploma in Sports Therapy (SST)
                                  Diploma MLD-UK Therapy One
                                  Modular Diploma Sports Massage

Post-nominal/designatory letters:     Depending on qualification, e.g.
                                                          NAMMT (RM Adv), NAMMT (SpTh),
                                                          NAMMT (ManipTh), etc.

Individual:                                         Depending on qualifications

Annual Fee:                                       £40

Honorary Member

This level of membership will be awarded by NAMMT to members who have devoted their time and energies to the massage profession, to the association or who have demonstrated in other ways their dedication and excellence and have made a significant contribution to the enhancement of massage and manipulative therapy.
